FableVision is well-known for the high-quality of its animation. Remember the multi-awarded short film "The Blue Shoe"? Well, FableVision did it again with "Antarctic Antics".

Montreal (March 26, 2001) - Toon Boom Technologies is proud to announce that FableVision Studios' recent animated film created for Weston Woods Studios/Scholastic was among the award-winners recently announced by the American Library Association (ALA) during its Midwinter Meeting in Washington, D.C.
The 2001 Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Children's Video was awarded to Producer Paul Gagne for "Antarctic Antics", the short animated film based on a book written by Judy Sierra and illustrated by Jose Aruego and Ariane Dewey. "Antarctic Antics" transforms the poetry of the book into ballads about the penguin world.

The video was animated by FableVision Studios and directed by Gary Goldberger and Peter Reynolds with lead animation by Matt Ducharme. This production was created using FableVision's completely digital, paperless animation systems from Toon Boom Technologies.
